- Every residence hall room is air-conditioned — a fan is optional, not a necessity.
- Ship to your Campus Box only after August 9, 2026. Address as: Name / [box number] Campus Box / Elon, NC 27244 — not The Inn at Elon. Overflow storage pods are not temperature-controlled, so don't ship heat-sensitive items.
- Large appliances (mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker) must plug directly into a wall outlet — never into a power strip or extension cord. Violations are a $50 charge plus confiscation.
- Most first-year rooms are Extra-Long Twin. Only some single rooms (Global, East, Colonnades) have Full beds — confirm your room type before buying sheets.
- Free bed-lofting supplies are available on move-in day or by a Facilities work order afterward; Full beds in singles cannot be lofted.
- Move-in begins with central check-in at Schar Center, where you pick up your key, Phoenix Card, and parking pass.
